POCKET CHANGE

Referencing the design of the Bahamian 15-cent coin, this emblem is an homage to time spent during my formative years living between islands aboard sailing vessel "Hiatus". The Bahamian pink hibiscus was always a passionate favorite, commonly given to young girls and is a strong symbol for all types of love—familial, platonic and romantic. The blooms of hibiscus flowers are short-lived but very exquisite, demonstrating acceptance of the fleeting nature of many beautiful things with more to come.
